The Assistant Director of Academic Resources provides leadership, coordination, and oversight of administrative and operational functions supporting Academic Affairs. Working closely with the Director of Academic Resources, this position manages personnel administration, recruitment and hiring processes, salary analysis, budget coordination, payroll administration, data reporting, and strategic initiatives. The role serves as a primary liaison among Academic Affairs, Human Resources, Finance, Payroll, and university leadership to ensure efficient operations and informed decision making. The Assistant Director also leads Academic Affairs' participation in Oracle HCM/ERP initiatives, business process improvement efforts, and change management activities while supporting divisional priorities and university goals.

Provide administrative, analytical and technical support to Academic Affairs leadership by assisting with budget management, financial reporting, data analysis, electronic workflows and records management. Work closely with AA staff to support fiscal transparency, reporting accuracy and process efficiency. Well-suited for students interested in business/data analysis, finance, accounting, information system, or public or higher education administration.

TRIO Talent Search Advisors partner with campus and community colleagues to identify and assist first generation income eligible students in 6th through 12th grade who attend local middle schools and high schools and want to continue with their post-secondary education. The program provides academic, career and financial aid counseling to participants. The goal of Talent Search is to increase the rate at which participants complete secondary education and enroll in and graduate from institutions of postsecondary education. The Advisor works directly works with the students, assisting them with academic class scheduling, implementing workshops, developing and implementing educational field trips and college tours, providing college application and financial aid assistance.

The School of Media Arts and Design (SMAD) is accepting applications for a Communications and Marketing Specialist. This person will work with the Director and Associate Director to develop and coordinate advertising and outreach strategies aimed especially at students, prospective students and alumni. This staff member will also mentor and help coordinate SMAD student workers assigned to communications-related roles.

JMU Police Cadets will patrol campus and work special events to ensure the safety and welfare of the JMU community and all visitors to JMU. All Cadets will be under the direct supervision of a cadet supervisor and program coordinator. Cadets will at times perform their duties with a high degree of independence, exercising considerable judgement, tact, and integrity in the completion of their responsibilities.
