Job Description:

Laurel Ridge Community College is accepting applications for adjunct, part-time faculty (day, evening and weekend) positions for a Math adjunct. Adjunct Faculty positions are appointed on a course-by-course, semester basis as needed. Responsibilities include teaching college level courses, which may include distance learning on and off campus courses during the day, evening and weekends. This position will be located on the Middletown Campus, Fauquier Campus, and Luray-Page County Center as needed.

All applicants must include unofficial transcripts at time of application. If any candidate with degrees awarded outside of the United States, please include unofficial evaluations for these foreign transcripts with your application. Should you be selected for hire, faculty who hold one or more degrees are required to submit official transcripts of all degrees, including official evaluations for any foreign transcripts to the Office of Human Resource Management.

Please note: applicants must reside in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland or DC.

Adjunct/Continuing Education Faculty listings are on a continuous, open until filled basis. Applicants will be contacted on an as needed basis. Compensation and Benefits:
The credit hour pay range is $794.00-$1,375.50. The position is part time and as such is not eligible for health or leave benefits. However, the position may offer educational benefits through our professional development and educational assistance policies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Masters in the field or Masters with 18 graduate credits in the field.
  • The ability to use instructional technology is required.
Additional Considerations:

  • Occupational experience in the field.
  • Experience with Canvas or other online course management tools
  • College level teaching experience, online experience a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written
  • The ability to work with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students
